Newsroom and Editorial Standards
The Halton Local Newsroom publishes concise local news for Halton Region — Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Halton Hills. Our goal is to make official information easier to find and faster to read.
Where our news comes from
We summarize primary, official sources — such as Halton Regional Police media releases and municipal announcements. We do not republish or rewrite reporting from other news outlets. Every article links back to the original source so you can read it in full.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim for accuracy and neutrality. If you spot an error, or you are the subject of a release and wish to request a correction or removal, contact us at [email protected] and we will review it promptly.
