Oakville Santa Claus Parade 2026
Oakville holds the first Santa Claus parade of the season in Halton, and it starts at 9 a.m. The closures begin three hours before that, so the plan for the morning matters more than the route map. The Town expects the parade to finish around 10:30 a.m.

Take the Santa Shuttle if you can
Oakville Transit runs a free shuttle from Oakville GO Station along Dorval Drive to Trafalgar Park Community Centre, with no stops between. Buses leave every 5 to 10 minutes from 8 a.m.
The last bus that gets you there for the full parade leaves the station at 9:15 a.m. Buses toward the parade stop at 10 a.m., and return trips to the station run until 11:30 a.m.
If you drive to the station, the Town suggests the Main Lot, using the VIA Rail entrance on Cross Avenue. That keeps you out of the line of shuttle buses on the station driveway.
Streets that lose their parking
"No Parking Special Event" signs go up from November 9 to 13. They cover the closed streets and these side streets: Bartos Drive, Brookfield Road, Burnet Road, Deane Avenue, Elmwood Road, Felan Avenue, Hawthorne Road, Herald Avenue, Inglewood Drive, John Street, Maurice Drive, Queen Mary Drive, Stewart Street and Westside Drive.
A car left there on parade day can get a ticket or a tow. Courtesy, paid, overnight-lot and on-street permits do not count from 11 p.m. on Friday, November 13 until noon on Saturday.
Going with children or a dog
Halton Regional Police suggest that you take a photo of your child that morning. If you get separated, the photo shows what your child wore.
The parade runs in rain or shine. The Town asks that dogs stay on a leash, and it warns that crowds and noise can stress some animals.
